How do you claim an EFAA Record?
Written by Richard Hardcastle

The EFAA maintains records of the highest scores shot by members in each of the recognised divisions and in each of the official rounds. The record lists are compiled by the Classifications and Incentives Officer from returns made by shoot organisers.

An archer breaking a record is advised to ensure that the shoot organiser knows that a record has been broken and the shoot organiser should make a note of this on his score return. In particular, for records shot at World and Regional events where no return is made to the Classification and Incentives Officer, the archer should ensure that the Records Officer is made aware of any new claims in writing.

In the event of a record being omitted from the list, the archer who broke the record may make his own return to the Classifications and Incentives Officer, which should be accompanied by the relevant score card.

EFAA records can only be setup or broken at Official EFAA Tournaments (i.e. not WFAA or SFAA events), which have been properly notified to the Tournaments Officer.  There must have been a proper equipment inspection and double scoring must have been used. All records will be published by the EFAA from time to time as well as being viewable on these pages.  EFAA records can also be set at IFAA World and sanctioned Regional events.

The National Range Charter Officer must inspect and approve the proposed range for marked or unmarked record status EFAA official shoots.  This applies to classifications as well.
